Letter From Your Executive Director |
|
Dear Colleagues, Welcome to the newly redesigned website for the Family Preservation Law Center! The first thing I would like you to know is that, this is YOUR website, and YOUR organization. Please feel free to contact me anytime and let me know what FPLC can do to support you in your practice of representing parents in a/n/d cases. FPLC is growing quickly, and we now have at least one member in each of 70 counties! I am interested in hearing from each of you. A small, dedicated group of your colleagues has been working very hard to lay the foundation for this organization. However, we want you to understand that this is only just the beginning, and FPLC is under construction! We know you are very busy, but at the same time we want YOU to help shape both the organization and the website so that they are custom built to suit your needs. Your suggestions and input are not just welcome, they are expressly invited. Our intention is (to the greatest extent possible) to make this organization a ‘one-stop shop’ for all the resources you need to be successful practicing in this challenging area of the law. This website in an integral part of that objective. We have focused our attention, first and foremost, on creating areas for research tools. |

"The $65.00 for membership in this organization represents just one hour of pay out of a whole year. If we all ante-up, and this organization gets off to a good start, then that one hour of pay will be returned to us many times over. If it helps to make things better for our clients, it will be well worth it." Sue Howell, Guilford Co. attorney |
